Book Lover…

I am a book lover.   I love the smell of books, the feel of them and I love how they transport me to other places, happy places.  I grew up in a house filled with books and I put my love of books down to my mother.  She read to my brother and I every…

Carly - I've recently rekindled my love for readings and I feel like me again. I can't get enough. The one I just finished, The Help by Kathryn Stockett is a good read. One of my all time favorites is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. It's a must read :)

Love your dragon tattoo :) You're too creative for words.

Kristen - I love this post, it always amazes my hubby that I have a pile of books on my bedside table too, all at various stages of being read! Here's what is on there at the moment: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, The Failsafe Cookbook by Sue Dengate, Smiling at Shadows by Junee Waites and Helen Swinbourne, Cave in the Snow by Vicki Mackenzie, The Host by Stephenie Meyer and Reading Magic by Mem Fox! Beautiful SP as always honey :-)

Lara - I literally just read "Autobiography of a geisha" by Sayo Masuda – incredible book. I was anticipating it to be so-so, but I loved it. I got so into it! I love "The wind-up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami… My all time favourite book is "Jane Eyre" – it's just in my bones, that one… And I'm also reading a stack of 19th century plays – which are incredible in and of themselves, too. I love reading – it's just unfortunate that life gets in the way, sometimes!

Kristy Milton - Oh, I wish I read more, I do try but the days just get away. I am currently reading Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! How fitting! You, as always are so creative!!!! Love it!

Capturing Sunshine - Oooh Rikki! This is the best post and thread. Now, I have some book titles to add to my "must have" list. By the way, just finished 9th Judgment…if you read the others, you are in for a treat. This one is great! Kristen, The Host is one of the best books I ever read. I'm not a sci-fi girl, and it took a little bit of pushing to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

As far as my reads, I'm a nut for historical fiction. Must reads include, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan," "Those who Save Us," and "A Thousand Splendid Suns."

Keep 'em coming! Oh yes, and Rikki, great photo as always!!

I’ve been a bad blogger…

I’ve been a bit sporadic in my blogging. I wish I could tell you I’ve been doing something wildly exciting, but alas, I haven’t. I have been day-dreaming, sigh… Day-dreaming about June, because in June I get to meet my “photo girls”. Some of them I “met” when I did Explore and some when I…

Mother’s Day Loves…

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. The boys are being super secretive about my gift/s, and there has been lots of whispering and private meetings going on, which has been nice to see. I guess I’ll find out in the morning, but I’d be over-the-moon happy, if any of these, found their way into my hands tomorrow….

Steph - Hmmmm… I've got a couple of retro polaroids..just need some film! And, because I'll be the Queen of Hearts in a family party later this summer, that pillow would be quite appropriate. And lenses, well, like you I'm always wishing for a new one. Have a wonderful day with the boys Rikki! Mwah!

Kristen - What a collage of 'pretties'! Oh the 85mm 1.2 *swoons* lol! Hope your day was as lovely as you are :-) xx

Lara - I love the pillow :) The LO bought a mug at his mother's day stall which says 'My mum is right about EVERY THING'. He laughed when I read it to him, because he's always disagreeing with me about what I say! Oh the joys of a beginning reader who thought that a mug with a chocolate bar and tea would be the best gift ever (and it was, because it came from him!).
